August 31 2010: Vision Air completed the first phase of its Flood Relief effort in Jaba Tara Village located 25 kilometers from the city of Pabbi near Peshawar, Gharri Momen and Kam Cronna Villages which are located near the Kabul River. These villages as so many others have been completely reduced to rubble as a result of the floods which followed the record breaking rains in Pakistan.

Phase 1 - Map

The residents of these destroyed villages have been housed in Government Schools and tent villages and are receiving their daily sustenance from nearby towns and villages still standing.

Learning from other relief efforts which resulted in food riots and people getting stampeded and seriously hurt, we were able to organize the delivery in an extremely systematic manner.

We wish to especially recognize the assistance of Fazaldad Human Rights Organization a group of Boy Scouts and other local Volunteers who helped Vision Air’s Jabbar Ahmed from our Islamabad office with the distribution of two truckloads of food and stitched clothing to over 150 families.

The second and third phase of this continued effort of Vision Air will take place on the 9th of September 2010 both in the southern province of Sindh and the northern province of Punjab simultaneously.

Vision Air, thanks each and everyone who have so generously donated to our Flood Relief Effort and shall keep all of you posted with regular updates on our website of this ongoing effort.
