URGENT APPEAL

My dear friends and collogues,

A humanitarian catastrophe of terrifying and unprecedented proportions is unfolding in Pakistan, with a fifth of the country under water, and millions of people homeless and desperately needing assistance. No words or pictures can describe the conditions on the ground. The monsoon rains which began in the 3rd week of July continues to date with the torrents washing away roads, bridges, power plants, farm lands, entire villages, towns and even cities. Early estimates suggest that over 20,000,000 (twenty million) people have now become destitute, losing whatever little they owned.

 “The magnitude of the problem; the world has never seen such a disaster. It’s much beyond anybody’s imagination” UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon’s statement after visiting some of the flood affected areas recently.

I can’t urge you enough to come to our aid in this our hour of need. This catastrophe is too large for the people of anyone country or government to manage alone. We need YOUR assistance!

Please donate generously to anyone of the many organizations and NGOs who are doing an extremely commendable job in delivering aid to the victims of this the world’s worst disaster in living memory.

We too at Vision Air in our own small capacity would like to contribute in this effort. For this reason we have organized two packages; Family Shelter & Family Sustenance Package which we shall purchase, pack and deliver to the flood victims ourselves.

SHELTER FOR A FAMILY OF 5 TO 6 PERSONS – COST PKR 11,500.00 / AED 500.00

  • One mid size Tent to accommodate 5 to 6 person
  • One Gas Cylinder (Filled)
  • One floor mat (carpet)
  • Clothing for 3 Children, 1 Adult Female and 1 Adult Male
  • Shoes / slippers for a family of 5
  • One jerry can
  • Plastic plates, tumblers and tea cups
  • Cooking utensils

 10 DAYS SUSTENANCE FOR A FAMILY OF 5 – COST PKR 1,850.00 / AED 80.00

  • Sugar – 2 kilograms
  • Assorted Lentils – 2 kilograms
  • Rice – 2 kilograms
  • Flour – 10 kilograms
  • Cooking Oil – 2 liters
  • Dry Milk Powder – 1 kilogram
  • Salt – 1 packet
  • Dates – 1 kilogram
  • Tea – 200 grams
  • Potable Water – 3 liters
  • Match Boxes – 3 each

Should you want us to assist you with your contribution to these many destitute people who are crying out for our help, please donate generously into our small effort. 100% of your contribution will go to the flood victims. Please indicate to us should you want, and we will provide you with a picture of the family you have helped. While pledging please bear in mind that it will take at the least two months before the Rehabilitation phase will commence and that these people need our urgent help to last them this long.
